You are probably the victim of phishing and the sender is trying to get you to click on links in the email or to open an attachment. DON'T.

If information is provided in the body of the email, make sure you check immediately with your credit card company.

You can also call American Airlines customer service to inquire: 1-800-433-7300

You can also check this security page at American Airlines. You will have to scroll down the page to see examples of phishing emails where you can see the way a person can be tricked into spoofed sites to enter personal data
