Copying A Music File From Pc
in the itunes application,the 'device 'link is not appearing .i've downloaded the latest version of the itunes from apple support web site .it appears that some sort of issue with drivers is there in my apple iphone

I had the same problem a few days ago while trying to update my wife's friend's iPhone, fixed the issue though by:
- If it is 3G then Apple have stopped supporting this & the only ios available is 4+
- Download latest version of iTunes
- Reboot PC
- Boot up iTunes
- Before connecting iPhone turn and power iPhone off
- Hold POWER & HOME button together for 12 seconds, let go of POWER button but keep pressing HOME button
- This should entre iPhone into DFU mode
- Once in DFU mode release button press
- Connect iPhone to PC & iTunes should now detect the phone in DFU state & advise it requires restore
- Click restore, you might still get a failure, Known glitch in iTunes so don't worry
- The second time it attempts to restore it will give you the option to restore & update firmware if required, click OK
- That should then restore your iPhone to factory settings
- It all failed for me but when connected it to another PC it worked fine following the same directions as above
- You will have no choice other than try another PC as your iPhone will be stuck in DFU mode
- If all this fails take the iPhone back to Apple even if on contract with another supplier they will more than likely change it, cost peanuts to Apple to give you a new one
- The phone cost a bomb to buy but mega cheap to build
- If its Jailbroken visit the Jailbreak forums about how to remove the Jailbreak nephew file before returning to Apple
