According to the Beko ASGN542 Refrigerator user manual, the display screen cannot be switched off. The display screen is always on, even when the refrigerator is in standby mode.
This is because the display screen is used to show important information about the refrigerator, such as the current temperature, the status of the various features, and any error messages. It is also used to control the refrigerator's settings.
If you find the display screen to be too bright, you can dim it by pressing the "Light" button on the control panel. You can also adjust the brightness of the display screen in the refrigerator's settings.
