Unwanted Phone Calls
My father who is 89 years old gets about 15 phone calls per day from a medical alert company. His number is and we need help. What can be done.

Obtain the company's name and address and tell the company not to call you again. The federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act enables you to sue for up to $1500 if the company continues to phone you after your instructions. You should have a record of each call with the date and time, name of the caller (even if it's a fake), and exactly what you told the telemarketer. If you get even 1 more call within 12 months you can file your claim in small claims court.
