The takedown wheel of the Beretta U22 Neos is held in the frame by a detent spring located on the left side of the frame. This spring pushes against a small notch on the takedown wheel to keep it in place when the barrel is removed. If the takedown wheel is falling out, it is possible that the detent spring is damaged or not functioning properly and may need to be replaced. It is recommended to have a qualified gunsmith inspect and repair the firearm.

The takedown wheel on the Beretta U22 Neos is typically retained in the frame by a small detent ball and spring. If the takedown wheel is falling out of the frame, it's possible that the detent ball and spring are damaged, missing, or misaligned.

To fix this issue, you may need to disassemble the pistol further to access the detent ball and spring. It's important to use caution when disassembling any firearm, and if you're not comfortable doing so yourself, it's recommended that you seek the assistance of a qualified gunsmith.

Once you've accessed the detent ball and spring, you can check to ensure that they're functioning properly and that they're properly aligned with the takedown wheel. If they're damaged or missing, you may need to replace them.

It's important to ensure that the takedown wheel is properly retained in the frame before using the firearm. If the takedown wheel is not properly secured, it could potentially cause a malfunction or safety issue when firing the pistol.
