I emptied the canister now the brush turnes but I don't hear the motor

That is very unusual. There is a separate brush motor controlled on the handle. If this doesn't help your unit comes with a 5 year manufacturer warranty. You can take it to your nearest BISSELL Authorized Service Center to check on warranty repair coverage.
