Transfer Phones

I have a sprint 8330 blackberry and i would like to know why i can not transfer my phone to boost and start an accout, it keeps telling mei have to go to he sprint store and buy a new phone exactly like the one i have!!! is there a real person that i can speak to at boost mobile customer service?
