- Connect the subwoofer's LFE input to the receiver's subwoofer output using a standard RCA cable.
- Turn on the subwoofer and the receiver.
- Adjust the subwoofer's level and crossover settings to your liking.
The Bose AV58 subwoofer does not have a built-in amplifier, so it must be connected to an amplifier in order to produce sound. The receiver will provide the amplification for the subwoofer.
The media center cord is not necessary for connecting the subwoofer to the receiver. The RCA cable will provide the same signal to the subwoofer.
Here are some additional tips for connecting the subwoofer to the receiver:
- Make sure that the RCA cables are properly connected to the subwoofer and the receiver.
- If you are using a long RCA cable, make sure that it is of high quality to avoid signal attenuation.
- Adjust the subwoofer's level and crossover settings to your liking. The level setting controls the volume of the subwoofer, and the crossover setting controls the frequency at which the subwoofer takes over from the speakers.
If you are still having problems connecting the subwoofer to the receiver, you may need to contact Bose customer support for assistance.
