Cannon Optura 200...no Picture
WHEN I TURN MY CAMERA ON THERE IS A BLACK DISPLAY WHICK ONLY SHOWS FUNCTIONS...NOTHING THROUGH THE VIEW FINDER OR LCD SCREEN....ALMOST LIKE THE LENS COVER IS ON, BUT OF COURSE IT IS OFF?? ANY HELP? MAYBE A SETTING I HAVE MISSED? IT WILL PLAY BACK JUST FINE..JUST IN RECORDING MODE?

Not sure if this is related to your Canon Optura problem, but here is a web page discussing the black LCD screen for another Canon camera. Maybe it is related?
