Setting Up

I plugged in the optical cable to the TV and to the Canton,then plugged in the canton and switched on the TV.I had the tv sound turned down (not yet matched my remote)But no sound out of the Canton.Pressed volume up and down and the mute off and on nothing Then I got this terrible loud howling booming sound that nothing I did could stop it, even disconnecting the TV link cableAll I could do is turn the Canton to off Whats going on ?

Please check the correct setting of your source device (see Page 6). "DtS" or "Dolby Digital" coded output formatscannot be reproduced.2. Digital output on the source device not activated (pleaserefer to device instructions).3. Check the connection of the source device to the DMSystem and change the cable where necessary.
