The screws on the front of the Celestron 114LCM Computerized Telescope lens are likely there to hold the lens in place and to provide a way to adjust and secure the lens within the telescope tube. These screws may be used for collimation, which is the process of aligning the optical elements of the telescope to ensure that they are properly aligned and focused. Collimation is essential for ensuring that the telescope provides clear and sharp images.

By adjusting the screws on the front of the lens, you can make precise alignment changes to optimize the performance of the telescope.

It's important to handle the screws with care and to follow any instructions provided in the telescope's manual to avoid damaging the lens or affecting its alignment.

The screws on the front of the Celestron 114LCM Computerized Telescope are used to collimate the telescope. Collimation is the process of aligning the mirrors and lenses in a telescope so that they are properly focused. This is necessary for the telescope to produce clear and sharp images.

The screws on the front of the telescope are used to adjust the tilt of the primary mirror. The primary mirror is the largest mirror in the telescope and is located at the front of the optical tube. By adjusting the tilt of the primary mirror, you can ensure that the light rays are entering the telescope at the correct angle.

The screws on the front of the telescope are also used to adjust the position of the secondary mirror. The secondary mirror is the smaller mirror that is located at the back of the optical tube. By adjusting the position of the secondary mirror, you can ensure that the light rays are being reflected correctly to the eyepiece.

Collimating a telescope can be a delicate process, and it is recommended that you consult the telescope's manual or seek the assistance of an experienced telescope user to ensure that it is done correctly.
