Embarq Vs Century Link

I continued to mail each monthly payment to the Embarq address now knowing that the billing address had changed.  I do my banking online.  For ONE YEAR no one bothered to tell me that my checks were being forwarded from Texas to Ill. !  This caused my acct. to get in arrears with late charges.  One August paymet of 120.00 was never received to the present Ill. office.  I know I must not be the only person this has happened to.  My payment history speaks for itself up until CenturyLink took over.  I am now one month behind because they cannot find that payment which was DEDUCTED from my Chase account on 8/6.  Two payments of 120 and only one received.  Once I get caught up on this I am changing providers and encourage others to do the same.  NO ONE seems to know about checks made out to EMBARQ after the merger. It's hard enough when you are retired.  This has been a great source of frustration and I do plan to persue this matter aggressively.  SOMEONE has that check. Thank you, Kathleen F.
