Option 1: Through the CenturyLink Customer Portal
Go to the CenturyLink Customer Portal and sign in to your account.
Click on Phone and then select Voicemail.
Click on the Call Settings tab.
Under Incoming Calls, select the desired number of rings from the Number of Rings Before Playing a Greeting drop-down menu.
Click Save.
Option 2: By Contacting CenturyLink Customer Service
Call CenturyLink Customer Service at 1-800-669-7676.
Explain to the representative that you would like to change the number of rings before calls are routed to voicemail.
The representative will need to verify your account information and then make the change for you.
Additional Notes:
The default number of rings before calls are routed to voicemail is three.
You can set the number of rings to any number between two and twenty.
We recommend that you set the number of rings to three to five. This will give callers enough time to reach voicemail if you are unavailable, but it will not make them wait too long.
