Moving A 2001 Prizm With Automatic When You Can Not Start It

the car was involved in a wreck, tires and transaxle are fine but it leaked out antifreeze and the battery is to weak to start the vehical, so it needs to be moved, can it be moved with out damaging the transmission by pulling it in neutral?

If you put the auto tranny in neutral then you can tow it. Effectively you are disconnecting the transmission in exactly the same way as you are by putting a standard in neutral (all be it that the mechanics are a little different).

That said I would always use a trailer if I was towing any distance.
