Knocking Sound
knocking comes from the under side of the engine, maybe the transmission. only occurs after reducing speeds from 50mph to in town speeds. sometimes goes away after a minute or two. haven't gotten under it while running for a better listen.

Tough to diagnose, but I would go with the inner CV (constant velocity) joint going bad. Try to make a hard right turn and then a hard left turn with the steering wheel all the way over. If it's the CV joint, you should hear the knock when you do that, regardless of your speed.
The CV joint is part of the driveshaft linkage, so you should not neglect it, if that is the problem. A catastophic failure of the joint will leave your car disabled and needing a tow to the nearest garage.
