Rpm High At Road Speed(about 4000)

Just purchased a 2000 Cirrus and while driving home noticed that it was running very high RPM up to 4000rpm. Code scanner says Transmission Shift solenoid. Is this the same as the Output speed sensor or Input Speed sensor? Would like to fix this myself, been away from wrenching for 6 years and worked for Chrysler as my last Mechanic job. So I have no problem fixing it myself but need advice. Please help
