How can I stop Classmates.com from making unauthorized charges from my account?

Classmates.com has taken a number of of small, unauthorized charges from my credit card. I never signed up for any ongoing services, and certainly never authorized routine charges to be made. I have read that a lot of other people have a similar problem, and their customer service is completely unresponsive.

It appears classmates.com helps themselves to our credit card account once they have it and are always  an unusual amount of high call volume. A buisness pyschology of keeping alrady fustrated callers so aggrivated by them supporting their buisness and keeping them on hold, that they gamble the caller will hang up! Sounds like a Better Business Bureau Investigation, along with a Federal Government Investigation is warranted. How about a Original Members Group Law Suit?  If anyone would like to hit them with a Group Law Suite, lets get the ball rolling!

Change your account number! If that doesn't work, because I have already cancelled once before. I am going to get my attorney husband involved. They are so unresponsive and make it so difficult to contact them. I'm really peaved! They should contact you and ask if you want to remain a member.

I had the same problem.  The only way to allevaite this

problem is to notify the bank and then cancel that crdit card

no. and get a new one.  This might cause a problem especially

if you have payments linked to that no., but in the end its worth it.  Be aware also of other accounts that classmates

gives your no. to one was lifetime something that was a 79. charge again unauthorized.  Classmates will also automatically renew your account without your authorization ( I would never join classmates for this reason.)  With the credit card no. being changed they can't do this.

Trust me on this I tried every other option nothing worked till I did this.
