You will have to contact your bank and dispute the charge. There should be a phone number on the back of your card to call and file a dispute over the charge.

- It's likely that before reversing the charge your bank will want documentation that you attempted to clear the charge with Classmates.
- If you do not communicate with Classmates, Classmates may continue to add charges annually.
- I have read a great many complaints similar to yours against Classmates, but have seen none at all claiming that Classmates did not itself reverse charges when so requested.
You can write the company with this form, but I urge you to send a certified snailmail to the company, giving them a reasonable time (say 10 days) in which to respond. Then if you don't receive satisfaction you can always appeal to your bank—but observe the bank's time limits, which you can learn by phoning the bank.
Here's Classmates's mailing address:
Classmates Online, Inc.
P.O. Box 1269
Renton, WA 98057
For additional protection you can if necessary change your renewal option from "automatic" to "manual" in the Account section of the Classmates website, under "Account & Billing."
You may also want to complain to the Washington Office of the Attorney General at 800-551-4636, or at http://www.atg.wa.gov/.
