I Paid $29.50 For 2 Yrs To Join Classmates. Then I Was Made To Pay $159 - Why?

The next page said Experian on it, and asked me to pay $159.00 for 2 yrs. Was I supposed to pay that amount, or was that for something else, like paying to get my mother's credit rating.  Can you email me at: < and let me know if that amount will show up on my mother's statement? If it does, can I cancel the $159.00, without losing my membership, because I have already paid $29.50. Thank you, Violet.

As we are not Classmates, I can only guess that without knowing it you signed up for an Experian product when you joined Classmates. You can reach Classmates at 206-301-5700. You can write the company with this form, or by snailmail to:

Classmates Online, Inc.
P.O. Box 1269
Renton, WA 98057

If necessary, you might dispute the charges with your card provider or complain to the Washington Office of the Attorney General at 800-551-4636, or at http://www.atg.wa.gov/.
