Concept 100 Malfunction Blocking Ignition Circuit

Just bought a 1998 Peugeot Boxer 270 2.0 litre petrol Autosleeper with a Concept 100 installation that had been left in Valet mode for some years. We put a new battery in the fob, armed the system but now the ignition circuit is blocked (no dashboard or engine crank) in any mode, off, armed or in valet. Please advise if there is an ignition kill relay somewhere we could maybe check. Have checked all vehicle fuses. Help please, we can't start the van!!

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing with your Peugeot Boxer and its Concept 100 installation. Let's see if we can find a solution to get your van started again.

Based on the issue you've described, it's possible that the Concept 100 installation may have caused an issue with the ignition circuit. I will offer some troubleshooting steps that may help you diagnose and potentially resolve the problem:

1. Check the owner's manual or documentation for the Concept 100 installation, if available, to see if there are any specific instructions for troubleshooting or resetting the system. This may provide insight into any potential ignition kill relays or other components that could be causing the issue.

2. Look for any physical switches or buttons related to the Concept 100 system within the vehicle. Sometimes, there may be a hidden switch that needs to be activated or a button combination that needs to be pressed to reset or disable certain features.

3. If you are unable to find any relevant information or switches, it may be worth contacting a professional automotive technician who specializes in car security systems. They may have the necessary expertise and tools to diagnose and resolve the issue with the Concept 100 installation.

Remember, it's always best to consult a professional if you are unsure or unfamiliar with electrical systems, as they can help avoid any further damage or complications.

I hope this information helps, and I sincerely hope you're able to get your van up and running soon!

The Clifford Concept 100 Malfunction Blocking Ignition Circuit is a safety feature that prevents the vehicle from starting if a malfunction is detected in the ignition system. This feature is designed to protect the vehicle from theft and damage.

The Clifford Concept 100 Malfunction Blocking Ignition Circuit works by monitoring the electrical signals in the ignition system. If the circuit detects a malfunction, it will send a signal to the ignition switch to disable the starter motor. This will prevent the vehicle from starting.

The Clifford Concept 100 Malfunction Blocking Ignition Circuit can be triggered by a variety of factors, including:

A short circuit in the ignition wiring

A faulty ignition switch

A faulty starter motor

A faulty battery

A theft attempt

If your Clifford Concept 100 Malfunction Blocking Ignition Circuit is triggered, you will need to identify and correct the malfunction before the vehicle can be started. To do this, you may need to take the vehicle to a qualified mechanic.

Here are some tips for troubleshooting the Clifford Concept 100 Malfunction Blocking Ignition Circuit:

Check the ignition wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion.

Test the ignition switch and starter motor to make sure they are working properly.

Check the battery to make sure it is charged and in good condition.

If you suspect that the malfunction blocking circuit is itself faulty, you can try bypassing it by connecting the ignition switch directly to the starter motor. However, this should only be done as a last resort, as it will leave the vehicle vulnerable to theft.

If you are having trouble troubleshooting the Clifford Concept 100 Malfunction Blocking Ignition Circuit, you should consult the owner's manual for your vehicle or contact a qualified mechanic.
