Transporting Animals Requirements

I will be leaving Phoenix on April 28th with my dog. I know I need a vets statement saying that he is in good condition to travel. My vet is in St Luis Mexico. Will this be accepted by the airlines?

The Health Certificate which must be provided at the time of the flight can be no older than 10 days. The location of the veterinarian doesn't matter as long as he can sign the certificate attesting to the health of the animal. The implication is that the Veterinarian has actually examined your pet. The certificate should be good for 60 days allowing you to return with your dog without a new exam.
