Email Button

In the middle of my job search a new button appeared in place of the usual craigslist reply email address that required one to choose an email carrier and sigh into the account each time one would apply for a position. Is this a new feature (which makes applying much harder as one would have to sign in each time)? Could this be a scam to get the users password?
