From what you're saying, the change is due to incompetence. Note that we're an independent help site *not* connected with Craigslist.

In recent years Craigslist administration has become increasingly erratic, with many of its actions having no apparent rational basis. You can if you wish notify Craigslist of your issue via this Craigslist form, but don't hold your breath waiting for an answer.
