Harrassing Emails

i cannot get anything but an automated response to my problem. i am daily receiving numerous harrassment emails from a for sale ad i posted on craigslist. i've forward them to abuse and legal and am still receiving the horrible emails. i've since deleted the posting and am still receiving them. i am irate at this point since it seems there isn't anyone at craigslist to help out with this. this is an outrage that i place a simple ad and receive naked pictures daily!

I sympathize with you completely. Unfortunately, Craigslist's support in this and other areas is minimal. I know it's frustrating, but with the huge volume of posts, nearly all free, it may be more understandable. Craigslist's staff is tiny.

You didn't provide the details, but if your email address was one created by Craigslist—what Craigslist calls "anonymized"—that address should not work once your post is deleted. Even so, however, if you responded to a reply, the person to whom you responded if at all tech-savvy could discern your real address from your response.
