Why does craigslist ask for access to my photos instead of just letting me upload them?

Either there's a misunderstanding or there's something about your post that we're not privy to. The normal procedure for adding an image is to click either the Add Images button or the Use classic image uploader link, both of which appear after your post is otherwise ready to go.
