when selling an item, how can you be sure that the cashiers check is not fraudulent?

411 the issuing banks phone & call them & give them the check number, they'll tell you if its legit. most cashier checks have the issuing banks phone number on the front of the check. You can do all that, while the buyer is standing there, if it's not the week end.
