How Is Safe To Respond To Emails & No It Is Not A Scam.

How can i tell if an inquiry is not a scam? The person requested a reply sent to their personal gmail. Is it safe to respond on their personal gmail? I responded on the craigslist address, but not sure if the party just didn't want to get the resoonse in *bulk mail*. Attaching reply:

It shouldn't make any difference since the person can see your email address either way.
