Why Can't I Turn My Htc Phone Back On?

My phone charges but when turned back on it stays stuck on the HTC quietly brilliant screne. Plz help i have no clue what to do!! I've tried to hold down power button and down vol button but after i hit factory reset or even recovery or reboot it goes to lock screne then shuts down again!!!
