Loss Of Signal, Black Margins Around Picture, And Shrunken Picture.

My picture is surrounded by a 3 inch black border. then picture shrinks. Frequent loss of signal. When turned off and on again, problem resolves but then quickly returns. This tv is a Hitachi and i 3 weeks old. Customer service representative on phone refused to send out a service person, saying it was the tv. This problem of shrinking pic and margins started this morning.
