Hello opeliamegan, you can try system restoration. Go to Windows home - Control Panel - Under System and Security, select "Find and Fix Problem" you will be directed to the troubleshooting page. Check at the left side of the page and click on "Recovery". Click on "Open System Restore" Follow the instructions. The objective is to restore your computer to a date, when it was working good, so select the date your computer was working properly and continue. You won't loose your present documents.
