As A New User Of Dell Laptop, Why Isn't A Manual Given A Point Of Purchase?

There has been too much time on trial and error to find out what each key etc. is for. The curser moves very quickly and can erase the screen and then how do you get it back as an example of just one problem.

All manuals are online however they "should" be packaged with every unit. If the manual was missing I would question the retailer as to why. Perhaps the unit was a return.
