Poweredge R710 Disabling Memory When Optimizing

The R710 will disable memory due to mode or possible incompatibility. If the server is poulated and the dimms in slots 1 4 7 are not showing, thats due to the servers Memory Mode in the BIOS being set to Advanced ECC. If you switch the mode to Optimized and all the dimms will be seen. Page 132 of this manual goes over the different memory modes - ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_poweredge/poweredge-r710_Owner%27s%20Manual_en-us.pdf

If those aren't the slots being disabled in may be due to incompatible dimms. Is this happening from an upgrade?
