Computer Went To Black Screen, Would Not Respond
The computer wouldn't display anything, wouldn't go to sleep when I closed the lid, was forced to force-reboot my computer. When I went to check for errors, I saw something red flash when I looked at Windows 7's action center, but I couldn't read the details. What could have been the source of my problem? The computer is moving smoothly for now.

I expect this was nothing more than a glitch. Windows, as good as it may be, is still not perfect. Otherwise we wouldn't be hit with the monthly barrage of patches and fixes Microsoft sends out. Windows updates frequently cause problems. Sometimes they correct themselves, sometime new fixes fix the old ones. Sometimes you have to rip them back out by their roots.
Assuming that things are going OK now, I would simply keep an eye on things and see how it goes. Make sure your vital data is backed up. Make sure that the restore feature is functioning and create a few restore points so you have a fallback if needed.
And stop uploading so may user manuals... you're making me look bad... ;-)
