Please Help Me, Need To Change Destination From Jfk To Laguardia
Please help me, we have never been to New York before so we are new to this. Our friends that we are meeting live closer to Laguardia than JFK. Unfortunately the reservations that I make are for flying in to JFK. I want to change the destination from JFK to Laguardia. I've already cancelled the hotel by JFK. I can't afford to pay the $400 to change the flight to a different airport. The trip isn't until June 1. I don't mind paying the $60 to Orbitz, but I can't believe Delta airline charges $400

I completely understand your frustration. Yes, the fee to change your airline ticket with Detla is $200 per ticket. There is no way to avoid that. I was just helping a lady that needs to change her ticket to care for her daughter due to a medical emergency and believe me, if the airline is stating they can't make an exception in this lady's case, they definitely won't make an exception because one airport is closer than another.
I recommend keeping your ticket to JFK. The financial cost to you and your traveling companion will far outweigh the inconvenience for the friend to pick you up at an airport further away. Actually, in your case it would probably be cheaper to take a taxi than it would be to change your tickets.
