Trouble With Not Getting Channels When Both Tv's Are On.

I am asking this question for my parents. When they have both tv's on, one upstairs and one downstairs, if they change the channel on the downstairs one then they can not get some channels on the upstairs one. It seems they can watch the same channels from the same satellite when they are watching from the same satellite, but when they change to a cahnnel on the other satellite on the downstairs tv, then the upstairs will not get the channels from the other satellite. This is very frustrating. Any suggestions would be apreciated, thanks.

What happens when they try to view channels on different satellites? Do any error messages appear?
