I would be more than happy to assist you with this, but I would need more information to provide an accurate resolution.

Does it only happen on the HBO stations or is it multiple channels? If it is only HBO then there may be something on their end. If you notice this on multiple channels try unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds then plugging it back in; if the problem continues try swapping the cable with a similar one and see if it continues.

Call your cable company and explain to that what is going on with HBO. I don't think is either your TV set or your cable box.
