Vip222 Receiver

My VIP222 receiver recently gets stuck on the "Acquiring signal" screen. I have unplugged it and reset it several times - only for it to return to the acquiring signal screen which it never acquires. Th unit is about 3 years old and was purchase new with no problems until recently.

Hi TerryTC, my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. I understand your HD dual receiver is getting stuck on acquiring signal and this is happening several times a day. There are some things that can be done to better help you with this, is there in thing on or blocking the dish? Are all connections hand tight from the receiver to the TV and the wall? If so, press the buttons of; Menu-6-1-1 and select the Check Switch tab and then test. After all test complete exit out of all menus and allow the receiver to reset and download the guide. Check the channels that were having the issue to make sure they are playing correctly.
