Electrolux Ew36cc55gs

is it possible for the appliance to go into error code 8.8/32 when the house is cold from frigid weather when the furnace goes out?

Hello Onesheryl, thank you for your post! From the information you have provided your Electrolux cooktop is displaying an error code of "8.8/32" and you think it could be due to the failure in your furnace. I am unsure if a furnace failure or the house being cold could cause such an error code. An "8.8/32" code may be a potential problem with your center board or left board. I would recommend performing a reset on your cooktop and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker for roughly ten minutes. If you continue to experience an issue with your cooktop I would advise seeking assistance from a professional technician.
