Installation Problems :/

Hi, I'm having troubles with the installation of my Sims 2 expansion packs.A while ago, I installed Sims 2 with University, Nightlife, Open for Business and Seasons onto my external hard drive E:\ but sadly, that external hard drive died a few days ago. It was something wrong with the motor, and my laptop could no longer detect it. I wanted to uninstall everything, but my laptop couldn't access the Uninstall programme because it was located on E:\ which was not readable at all. So I just went to "Add or Remove Programmes" and deleted the games off the list. I got a new external hard drive today, and I put the disks in to reinstall the base game and expansion packs. The base game installed fine, but when I moved on to install University and Nightlife, they both reached 100% but an error message "the update process did not complete successfully. installation will now terminate" popped out and everything started uninstalling. I didn't try to install Open for Business and Seasons after that. I googled about my problem instead and found out that maybe I didn't uninstall Nightlife and University completely before I tried to reinstall them on my new hard drive, so I followed the online guide to remove the registry keys for my expansion packs. But there were only registry keys for Open for Business and Seasons (so I removed them), but there was nothing to remove for Nightlife and University. I even deleted the EA Games folder in My Documents (with all my saved games, characters and lots) as well.I tried reinstalling again, but the same error message popped up. Is there something I'm forgetting to do? How can I fix this? Your help will be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance. ps. EA is being annoying when it comes to replying emails. I emailed them a week ago and got no reply whatsoever when they clearly stated that "You should receive a response within 24 hours." Pshyeah right! Their service (or the lack of it) is just a huge disappointment. I really do love their games.

You could manually delete the files by going to MY COMPUTER > PROGRAM FILES > EA GAMES & Drag the folder to your trash bin.

Good Luck :)
