Epson Powerlite 77c Stripped Out Foot Release Replacement.

Epson Powerlite 77c stripped out foot release. According to Epson this is not a user replaceable part. However I bought the part and then found out that replacement was not straightforward. I'm looking for a schematic or other help to get this stripped out foot replaced. Any and all assistance is appreciated.
