False Set Up Account Has Been Made In My Name

Someone has set up a Facebook account, I do not want an account and am not happy that someone has done this. Please could you tell me how I go about cancelling this. I have found something where I have to provide proof of ID which I do not want to do and don't see why I should have to go this far when it seems so easy to set up a false account. Please help

Visit Facebook at the link below and submit a report to them providing them with the information they request and they will remove the fake account for you!

Fake timelines created to imitate real people (impostor accounts) are not allowed on Facebook. If someone created an account pretending to be you:

Go to the timeline
Click the and then select Report/Block
Check the box next to Report this timeline
Click This person is pretending to be someone
Select Me from the drop-down menu
Click Continue
Add a description for why you're reporting the timeline
Check the box next to I confirm that this report is correct
Click Continue to submit your report
