How Can Someone Who Is Not A Friend, 'like' My Profile?

I received an e-mail that said a stranger "liked my profile". How could he even SEE my profile if he's not a friend?

You may have your privacy settings configured so that people other than friends can see your profile. Click on the arrow in the upper right corner of the Facebook page and on the drop-down menu, select Privacy Settings. Look through the settings and make sure they are configured how you want them. It may be set up so that anyone or friends of friends can see your profile. Occasionally Facebook changes the way privacy settings are set up, and the settings can get changed when this happens.
