Why Does Facebook Keep Redirecting Me To Their Anti Malware? It Doesn't Work.

After signing in , I'm redirected to a page saying that my computer needs to be cleaned. I have downloaded thier program numerous times and it neverstarts cleaning afterI give permission to run. It just sits there with a turning circle, it never begins to clean. As result I haven't been able to access Facebook for 2 days now. I am just running around in circles. their pages are useless, because yuo have to actually be in facebook to follow their direction. There is apparently no such thing as customer service. You would thnk that the 'brilliant' Mark Zukerberg with his millions could hire a team of human beings for technical support and customer service. I'm just hoping that I actually get a fix for this problem. I have my own anti virus and anti malware. My computer is clean!!!

It seems you marked The Wiz's answer as not helpful, and I can understand that in view of what you related. You have to know however that there's really no way of knowing that a computer is completely "clean" of computer infections. Antivirus programs do their best, but new infections that such programs will miss are continually invented. With the best precautions the unhappy fact is that some computer infections will get through.

I sympathize with your dissatisfaction with the level of Facebook's support, but as you know that level is entirely determined by Facebook. If enough users complain, the company may change its policy. Here’s Facebook’s contact information:

For the present, aside from TheWiz's suggestion to seek professional help, the best I can do for you (assuming you use Windows) is to refer you to Microsoft's own Safety Scanner, which according to Microsoft, "helps remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software, and "works with your existing antivirus software."

Facebook does not have Anti-Malware software. I'm afraid your computer has been infected with a virus or other malicious software. I recommend bringing it the computer to a local computer repair shop to have them clean it out. You can also attempt it yourself but if my guess is correct, I'd say you have a serious infection that should be looked at by a professional.
