Facebook Relationship Request

I sent my girlfirend a relationship request on facebook and she said she never got it i cannot find the featured people button either which i see most how to vids use..i sent it by going to edit profile and then friends and family and then did it in there it sais its waiting for confirmation but she hasnt recieved anything
