The small switch arm that goes to the exterior bin cover of a Fellowes 125Ci shredder is called the "shredding sensor arm". It is a small, plastic arm that is attached to the shredder's housing by two screws. The arm has a switch on it that detects when the bin cover is closed. When the bin cover is closed, the switch sends a signal to the shredder to start shredding.
If you need to replace the shredding sensor arm, you can buy a replacement part from Fellowes or from a third-party retailer. Here are the steps on how to replace the shredding sensor arm on a Fellowes 125Ci shredder:
Unplug the shredder from the power outlet.
