The circuit component "U 28" on the Fluke BT521 is a fuse. It is located on the main circuit board, near the battery compartment. The fuse is responsible for protecting the battery from overcurrent. If the fuse is blown, it means that there was a surge of current that exceeded the fuse's rating. This surge of current could have been caused by a number of things, such as a short circuit or a lightning strike.
To identify the blown fuse, you will need to open the battery compartment on the Fluke BT521. Once the battery compartment is open, you will see the main circuit board. The fuse is a small, cylindrical component with two leads. The leads are connected to the main circuit board. The fuse will be either black or red. If the fuse is black, it means that it is a 1A fuse. If the fuse is red, it means that it is a 2A fuse.
If the fuse is blown, you will need to replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage. You can purchase replacement fuses from Fluke or from a number of other electronics retailers. Once you have replaced the fuse, you should be able to use your Fluke BT521 again.
Here are some additional troubleshooting tips:
- Make sure that the battery is properly inserted in the battery compartment.
- Check the power cord to make sure that it is not damaged.
- Try resetting the Fluke BT521 by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.
If you are still having problems with your Fluke BT521, you may need to contact Fluke customer support for assistance.
I hope this helps!
