If My Speedometer Has Quit Working And Odometer Is This Electrical Or Mechanica

If the problem is the speedometer cable then its mechanical. It could also be the connection at the instrument cluster or the instrument cluster itself in which case its electrical. So the answer is it could be either one. The 96 escort I had had this problem and they replaced the cluster.
