I just had the same problem with my ford mustang and with the chip in the key its caused us a bit of a headache. I was able to find out ( with no help from the dealership! ) that there in fact was someone who could come to me so i didnt have to tow the car. Hes a automobile locksmith ( which are apparently very popular) and was able to come within hours to cut a new key (WITH A CHIP!) and charged us almost less than half of what the dealership was asking.
