Fresh Food Compartment Not Cold Enough

Hi I'm having problems with my fridge fresh food compartment not being cold enough. It all started when my frigidaire fridge Model ffhs2313ls started making a beeping noice. When I opened the door to look inside the fridge temperature number was on hi and flashing. The freezer compartment is very cold. Doesn't seem to be getting any cold air in the fresh food compartment at the vents. Made sure the vents are not blocked and even un plugged unit for half an hour hoping it would reset itself back to factory settings. Looked again after 10 hours over night and it's still not cold enough. It's at about 12degrees fahrenheit. Any help would be great. Thanks Jim

Hello jimohar - Typically when the refrigerator is beeping or buzzing it indicates a warning of a possible malfunction or an unsafe temperature inside. However, since the unit is not cooling there could possibly be a floating restriction in the lines, a faulty compressor or sealed system issued. This can include the compressor not working correctly, the evaporator fan not turning, or even coolant in the lines not at the correct levels to properly cool. Try checking and see if the door seal is bad; place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing it. If any suggestion proves to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately.
