Water Not Draining

Should my unit be dripping water as it cools?  When it comes on it sounds like there is a lot of water caught up in the unit itself somehow. It sounds like it is running with water in it. I am not sure if there is a plug or some way they water should be dripping out. Please let me know if this is normal or what I need to do to drain the water. Jason

This is all typical of the AC units. Only older models, 6 years and older, tend to have a drain hole. The water you are hearing is normal. This is the condensation pulled from the air, and slushed unto the coils inside of the unit, by the condensor fan, to cool the internal temperature of the unit.  You may see some small condensation forming on the unit outside of the wall, or on the back, but that is also normal if you are in a high temperature and humidity area.

Do not ever drill a hole in the unit. You will damage the coils, and void the warranty on the product.
